Director of Nursing Opportunity

Palmetto Summerville provides residential treatment for children, teens and young adults, ages 7 to 21, suffering from a variety of psychiatric illnesses (e.g., Trauma Recovery, Conduct Disorder, Mood Disorder, ADHD, PTSD and Substance Use).  Our 64-bed program embraces the developmental model approach for the treatment of psychiatric, behavior/conduct, mood attachment and trauma.  This is a unique opportunity to build the nursing department of your dreams and make a real difference in the lives of our kids - all within 30-minutes from downtown Charleston!

The Director of Nursing is a key member of the Palmetto Summerville Leadership Team who will integrate and coordinate a patient centric nursing strategy with a hands-on approach and keen focus on patient care; ensuring that delivery of high-quality and cost-effective health care is consistent with the mission, vision, and values of Universal Health Services and in accordance with government regulation, licensing and accreditation requirements.  The DON participates in the hospital’s strategic planning and contributes to the achievement of institutional goals and objectives.  The Director of Nursing will focus on 5 key areas: People, Service, Quality, Growth, and Finance.
