Duties

This position is located in the Joint Force Headquarters (State), Support Programs Division. The purpose of the position is to provide support in the administration of Military & Family Readiness Program (SFRP) services for the Army National Guard within the State Family Program. This is achieved by performing assignments designed to provide familiarity with the Family Program, community services, effective relations with supporting social service and emergency organizations, recruit and train volunteers, promote resilience and financial literacy through targeted life skills training, and the development of human resources program referral networks.

Qualifications

GENERAL EXPERIENCE : Must have experience, education or training in any position that required compiling reports, letters, memoranda, etc., and required person-to-person contacts to convey information. Applicants must have experience providing technical guidance and assistance in the type of work or in comparable work of the position to be filled. Applicants must have a thorough knowledge and understanding of administrative procedures and practices of management. Experience developing administrative procedures.



SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE : Must have two years experience a Family Assistant Specialist or Family Readiness Support Assistant. Must have experience working with the Army Emergency Relief Fund or a similar program.

Applicant Standing on a List of Potential Candidates for Consideration for National Guard Title 5 U.S. Code Section 2103 Excepted Service Positions (TCP-2021-005): In consideration of potential candidates for positions, an Adjutant General may establish an area of consideration defined as currently serving and former National Guard members of the respective State. Candidates may establish eligibility based on current membership or a National Guard Bureau Form 22 or National Guard Bureau Form 22A for former members. Documentation submitted by former members will be considered valid when the discharge from service in that State has a characterization as an Honorable Discharge or a General Discharge Under Honorable Conditions.
