THE POSITION:
Based in Denver, the Project Coordinator position involves a wide range of responsibilities and roles including with multi-party collaboratives, stakeholder engagement, communications, and outreach. The position provides an opportunity to work on projects throughout Colorado and Rocky Mountain region as well as the opportunity to staff projects of national significance. We are looking for someone with an interest in public and private sector projects, collaborative problem-solving, and process design. Candidates from a variety of backgrounds will be considered.
Specifically, this entry-level position will provide support to several projects in our transportation, water, and energy sectors. However, the role is not limited to these sectors and may work on projects related to land use and community planning, natural resources, and equitable and inclusive engagement. In our work we remain impartial on the subject matter, the participants, and their interests and positions, and focus exclusively on information quality, exchange, and the decision-making process. This is not an advocacy position.
This position regularly requires:
- Day to day office management.
- Scheduling meetings, maintaining meeting agendas.
- Digital filing/organization.
- Action list tracking.
- Record keeping.
- Managing office operations and schedules.
- Coordinating office team-building activities.
- Maintaining the inventory of office equipment and supplies; orders new equipment and supplies as needed.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Client-facing and project tasks.
- Supporting multi-party collaboratives involving complex, high-profile public policy issues.
- Leading or supporting coordination of meeting logistics.
- Documenting stakeholder engagement and community meetings, including notetaking, report preparation, and database management.
- Tracking project activities and deadlines.
- Coordinating and conducting virtual meetings with interactive functions (e.g., Zoom).
- Scheduling and facilitating client and project calls.
- Preparing informational materials for stakeholders and the public.
- Proofreading reports and other documents.
- Supporting communications and outreach tasks.
- Project research.
- Ability to travel within Colorado, as needed.
- Internal and business development tasks.
- Participating in internal team calls to coordinate roles and tasks, and collaborating on ideas.
- Supporting a regional team.
- Tracking project activities and deadlines.
- Managing contract administration, and invoice and expense report preparation.
- Business development and developing project proposals and proposed budgets.
- General staff support and maintaining office operations.
- Administrative duties.
- Managing staffing schedules.

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree. Potential education fields could include environmental management and/or policy, natural resource management, environmental science, public policy, or conflict analysis and resolution.
- Background/interest in transportation, community/regional planning, natural resource management, renewable energy, environmental/public policy issues, air quality, public involvement, conflict resolution, peacebuilding, and mediation.
- One to three years of work experience is preferred, including transferable skills (i.e., skills you have gained through education, work experience (including the military), or life experience that are relevant for this position; be sure to describe any transferable skills on your application and clearly explain how they apply to this position).
- Advanced degree or education is a plus but will not change job duties.
- Fluency in Spanish is highly desirable but not required.
COMPENSATION:
- Salary Ranges: $45,000-$60,000.
