Our Water Technologies Division is currently searching for an experienced quality engineer to support the production of filtration membranes at the Veolia WTS Minnetonka site. We are looking for a highly motivated and technically strong engineer to support our manufacturing facility. In this role, this engineer will develop the infrastructure of data management, processes, document control and systems to be aligned with best-in-class Quality Programs. This engineer will be responsible for the manufacturing quality of elements rolling and filters operations and will also drive and maintain all ISO 9001:2015 procedures and requirements. Essential Responsibilities
Improve and develop manufacturing processes for existing membrane products as well as New Product Introduction (NPI), documenting process changes, driving process / fixture improvements, driving cost of quality (COQ) actions
Analyze machine and product problems and take corrective measures to minimize scrap, rework, and escaping defects
Define area standards and processes, including but not limited to critical to quality variables, standard work, work instructions, process training guides, detecting, troubleshooting, and resolving production problems
Assure that all engineering designs and technical data are complete and accurately documented to provide an accurate technical base for future reference and to meet customer requirements
Lead material and defect review processes, focus on Quality Priorities and manage Quality reporting
Assure that customer issues are tracked and addressed in a timely and correct manner by managing customer data and leading for improvement
Leads RCA and Lessons learned processes across the business, communicating significant quality events to the business and commercial teams
Engage Six Sigma tools for process improvements
Drive Quality Audit structure, support Business Process excellence and facilitate the quality network to increase quality excellence
Implement quality-related actions, bring new ideas and positive support to the current process
Define investment and expense needs driving from preparing from approvals to completion
Lead and effectively interface with manufacturing, sales, commercial and other support teams to complete projects to meet quality goals
Manage training needs within the quality network to ensure effective skill set balance and employee development
Participate in EHS related actions to improve safety in own area
Qualifications/Requirements
Master’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Science, or similar technical field
Minimum of 5 years of professional work experience in quality engineer role or above
Minimum of 3 years of people leadership experience
Minimum of 3 years of project leadership experience
Minimum of 5 years of working experience with Quality Management System (QMS)
Certified Internal Auditor
Experience and strong comprehension of ISO 9001:2008/2015 requirements
Advanced user knowledge of MS Office and SAP and ability to learn other software applications
Ability to prioritize and organize work by providing direction and addressing issues
Ability to work in and lead cross-functional teams in a matrix environment
Highly team-oriented attitude and ability to successfully lead people
Customer focused and detail-oriented attitude
Strong verbal and written communication and influencing skills
