Funded (40+ Mill) Industry-Leading Autonomous Driving Software Co. Seeks Deep Learning Lead! San Jose, CA!
We are an industry-leading provider of some of the world's top autonomous driving software that has acquired over 40 Mill in funding! As we grow our team, we are looking for people who want to build long-term careers with us!*Onsite opportunity with flexibility up to 1 day per week remotely. At least 3 years hands-on experience in developing deep learning algorithms
People management skills and experience (at least 3 years as team leader of <4 engineers)
Experience/knowledge in computer vision and image manipulation algorithms
In-depth, hands-on knowledge of deep learning fundamentals
Strong mathematical aptitude, with emphasis on probability, vector algebra, and geometry
Proficiency in Python programming
Experience in conducting long-term development and/or research projects, in either academia or industry
M.Sc. or equivalent work track experience in CS, EE, Physics, or other quantitative field from a leading university.
Ph.D. (Plus)
Proficiency in C++ (Plus)
Experience with Linux (Plus)
Source control with git (Plus)
Direct manager of AI Engineers
Manage AI projects allocated to the San Jose site, work closely with technical group leaders in HQ
Lead, design, train, and optimize novel computer vision algorithms
Plan, guide, and lead medium to long-term projects involving multiple engineers
In charge of projects from research to deployment
Devise and implement performance metrics
Supervise complex data pipelines, from the collection stage, through annotation, to model training
Work together with HR to manage local recruitment processes (engage local recruits, interview, work with HR at HQ)
