River Edge continues to be one of Georgia's leading resources for mental health, substance use disorder treatments and supports as well as individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities

River Edge offers behavioral health outpatient services to adults in Macon-Bibb County experiencing mental health and substance use challenges. Therefore, we are seeking dedicated healthcare providers to join our team of professionals in the delivery of recovery-oriented services. 

River Edge is looking for experienced license-eligible or licensed mental health clinicians with a Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or Behavioral Health related fields for our Adult Outpatient Center to complete behavioral health assessments on primarily adult populations with mental health, substance abuse, developmental disabilities, or co-occurring disorders. We are looking for candidates who want to build their experience with a wide range of behavioral health conditions in a professional atmosphere at an organization striving to be a leader in the nation! 

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Performs biopsychosocial and behavioral health assessments, treatment planning/monitoring and discharge planning, in person or via telehealth.
• Assesses and refers to internal programs such as case management, mental health day programs, substance abuse outpatient programs, supported employment services, early intervention program for individuals experiencing their first episode of psychosis, intensive case management, ACT services, residential programs, or crisis services.
• Acts as client advocate in order to coordinate required services or to resolve crisis.
• Performs commitment determinations and/or executes orders of involuntary commitments.
• Provides some short-term counseling/therapy to clients requiring complex intervention.
• Refers client or family to community resources to assist in recovery from mental or physical illness and to provide access to services such as financial assistance, legal aid, housing, job placement/education, etc.
• Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing set standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
• Adheres to professional standards, policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements, ASO, DBHDD, and Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) standards.
• Updates job knowledge by maintaining licensure, participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, participating in professional organizations, etc.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Fully COVID Vaccinated.
• Master's degree in behavioral health field AND eligible for Georgia license as LCSW/LMSW, LPC/APC, LMFT/LAMFT. Must actively pursue licensure upon hire.
