Water/Wastewater Engineer
Depending upon experience may be located in any of our 9 offices

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced, talented Water/Wastewater Engineer to join our team in serving both municipal and private clients. You can anticipate regular client interaction with a project team that includes our in-house services: GIS, land surveying, civil, architectural, electrical, mechanical, structural, and CAD support.

Your focus will be to:
• Serve as the project manager, client manager and/or senior technical resource for specific clients and Widseth municipal client managers.
• Self-direct water/wastewater engineering projects that include planning, study, design, and construction of water systems including water supply, treatment, storage and distribution, and wastewater systems including wastewater collection, pump stations, and wastewater treatment.
• Perform business development activities promoting Widseth’s water and wastewater services.
• Perform permitting services for water/wastewater projects.
• Participate in and/or manage project pursuit and proposal efforts including coordinating and collaborating with marketing staff to ensure our proposals address client needs.
• Guide funding of water and wastewater projects with the assistance of Widseth’s Funding Department and based on Client’s needs.

To be considered for this position the following minimum qualifications will apply:
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering with emphasis on water and wastewater systems.
• Professional Licensure (P.E.) in the State of Minnesota and/or North Dakota or ability to get licensed within 6 months.
• 5-10+ years of experience in water and wastewater engineering.
• Working knowledge of the principles of project management, contracting, budgeting, and how local, State, and Federal laws and regulations impact water and wastewater systems.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
• Self-starter, motivated, and an ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
