Mechanical Design Engineer
Salary Range: 80/k-100/k, possibly higher.
100% onsite
Location Ladson SC (North Charleston SC)
Main things: Candidate must have a degree in Engineering preferred Mechanical or Industrial Engineering and have strong SolidWorks and AutoCAD. Must be able to read schematics and Blueprints.
DESCRIPTION:
- Demonstrate creativity and strategic thinking in anticipating and solving engineering problems, developing standards, and determining project objectives and requirements
- Prepare and present project documents including calculations, drawings, specifications, and reports
- Design mechanical systems, structures, and components
- Work with vendors to acquire off the shelf components
- Design modifications to existing equipment, systems, structures, and components
- Review designs to ensure fit, function, and accuracy of engineering
- Ensure compliance with safety standards related to system, structures, and components
- Ensure the final solution complies with both customer requirements and FKC-Lake Shore standards
REQUIREMENTS:
- Degree in Engineering preferred Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
- Strong SolidWorks and AutoCAD
- Strong project management skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience with Autodesk Inventor/Vault preferred but not required
