We are currently seeking a self-motivated, professional individual to join our team as DIRECTOR OF WELLNESS. This position s erves as the steward with respect to The DIG Wellness Center’s mission and core values. The Director of Wellness is responsible for the development, organization and implementation of all health and wellness programs. This includes, but is not limited to: fitness classes, personal training services, and health & wellness focused activities.
Primary Responsibilities: - Accountable for the overall physical condition and cleanliness of the fitness facility; and maintenance of in-house fitness equipment
- Coordinate individual wellness programs with in-house nurse practitioner to include exercise and diet; create fitness plans and nutrition plans for employees who seek guidance and direction
- Provide resources to educate employees on how to live well – mind, body and soul
- Empower employees to take responsibility of their own health while assisting them along the way
- Teach group exercise classes and coordinate weekly exercise schedule with volunteer instructors
- Create and design challenges and programs to inspire employees to be fit and eat healthy
Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Fitness, Recreation, Sports Management or related field preferred
- Background in nutrition – or nutrition certification - a plus
- 2-5 years of experience preferred
- Self-motivated and self-disciplined – able to implement new initiatives and programs
- Creative when it comes to keeping programs fresh and relevant to entire employee population
- Exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills
