Job description
Our client is an energetic, multi-state management services organization building a best-in-class network of practices across the eastern United States. They’ve earned their success and reputation by partnering with select ophthalmology and optometry clinics run by distinguished doctors and surgeons.
They currently seek a Controller to join their team
remotely and be based on the East Coast.
Salary: - $125-140k base salary (flexible/based on experience)

Job Summary: As a Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. You will play a key role in ensuring compliance with accounting principles and legal regulations. The Controller will collaborate with various departments to analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide insights to support decision-making.
Job Responsibilities: - Oversee day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
- Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and legal requirements.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors to facilitate smooth audit processes.
- Assess and improve financial processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
- Supervise and mentor finance and accounting staff.
- Assist with the budgeting and forecasting process, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Stay informed about industry trends and changes in regulations that may impact financial operations.
- Support strategic decision-making by providing financial analysis and recommendations.
- Stay up to date on all Compliance Training and Testing Modules.
Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
- CPA license or CPA eligible preferred
- Previous Healthcare experience a plus
- 2 – 5 years of professional experience in accounting and finance
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Strong analytical problem-solving aptitude with creative solutions, ability to organize work with large amounts of information efficiently, and manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously with strong attention to detail
- Willingness to submit to a background check
