Job description
DPP is seeking a Database Developer (SQL) for an opportunity in Columbia, SC.
Work arrangement:
- Onsite
- W2 position; 12 months with a possibility of extension
Project scope: - Re-development and integration of multiple database systems serving interfacing between the agency personnel information system, cloud hosted enterprise asset management system, and various internal systems and applications.
- Primary focus will be to develop queries, procedures, and functions within in the database interfacing with the client s ERP system and agency systems and applications.
- Secondary focus will be establishing the foundation for a data warehouse.
Responsibilities and duties: - Design stable, reliable and effective databases.
- Modify databases according to requests, follow industry standards, best practices and use common practices and techniques.
- Create and maintain accurate documentation and design diagrams, ensure database programs meet agency and performance requirements, research and provide recommendations for database design and feature implementation.
Required knowledge, skills, and abilities: - Proven skills as a database developer
- Knowledge of software development
- Hands on experience with MS SQL
- Documentation development

- Report and Dashboard development
- SQL Server
- SQL Server tools: SSMS
- SQL Tuning
- Interpret business process and business data models
- Data Warehousing
Required education/equivalencies: - BS degree in Computer Science or relevant work experience in field
Preferred certifications: - Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA)
- Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE)
