About Us:

We are a technology-driven land investment firm specializing in identifying, acquiring, developing, and selling real estate. Our focus is on strategic land investments in Texas. As we continue to expand our portfolio, we're on the lookout for a highly skilled and detail-oriented title examiner to join our dynamic team.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a title examiner to play a crucial role on our team. Responsibilities will include reviewing contracts, assessing title commitments, identifying any issues with the title, and collaborating with the title company to address them. In addition to liaising with the title company, the title examiner will coordinate with both our acquisitions and dispositions teams. This role demands a strong analytical mindset and exceptional attention to detail.

This position is fully remote, so strong computer skills are essential. Applicants must be comfortable and proficient in remote work using software.

Responsibilities:

Prioritize work based on the most profitable deals and highest value tasks.
Maintain detailed records of all correspondence and title issues by deal.
Present findings and provide investment recommendations to senior management.
Collaborate effectively with the acquisitions team, dispositions team, escrow team, agents, and external contractors.
Qualifications:

Proven experience of 5 years in title companies, real estate investment, or related sectors.
Excellent written and oral communication skills to effectively articulate complex findings and recommendations.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Test: Applicants will be asked to perform due diligence on an example real estate deal.

Hours:

Main working hours are 8 am to 5 pm CST, Monday through Friday, with some flexibility to set your own hours.

Employment Type:

This is an independent contractor position, with potential to transition to a permanent employee position following a successful probationary period.
