Come join our growing team!  We have a rare full-time position open in our surgery scheduling department at Urology Specialists!  We are looking for a detail oriented individual who is organized and ready to be a team player.  This position would join 3 other surgery schedulers in our clinic. 

Experience in the healthcare industry is preferred, but not required.  This position is full-time, full benefit package eligible.  Hours are flexible between 8am-5pm Monday-Thursday,  and 8am-4pm on Fridays.  No nights, weekends, holidays or call are required, PLUS a half day off each week!  This position reports to the Director of Nursing and Clinical Operations.

This position requires working in a close team environment to schedule surgical procedures at local hospitals and in our own ASC.  Some scheduling is done face to face with patients, while a majority is done via phone and patient portal.    This position would also be responsible for coordinating pre-authorizations for surgical procedures scheduled and some radiology services.

Other tasks include, but are not limited to:

• Utilize web portals to investigate benefits for preauthorization needs.
• Communicate effectively with providers and clinical staff to ensure a positive patient experience.
• Regular phone interaction with insurance companies, hospital scheduling departments and patients.
• Monitors outstanding authorization requests and initiates follow up of authorizations in a timely manner.
• Ability to problem solve and prioritize tasks.
• Regular interaction and investigation of patient accounts in our practice management and EHR software.
• Operate as a vital member of a team based model
• Adherence to compliance and completion of compliance training.
