Job description
One of our manufacturing clients in Chatham , ON is looking for a Controls Technician for their facility.
Shift - Days
RESPONSIBILITIES:-
Interpret electrical code specifications and drawings to determine wiring layouts for both new and existing equipment.
Verify circuit continuity using test equipment to ensure the safety and compatibility of systems post-installation, replacement, or repair.
Identify and troubleshoot faults in electrical and electronic control systems, and replace or repair faulty components as needed.
Implement preventative maintenance programs, maintain records, and calibrate electronic devices and measuring equipment.
Provide assistance to millwrights in repairing production and related equipment.
Possess a general understanding of hydraulics systems for troubleshooting purposes.
Adhere to all safety, health, and housekeeping policies established by the Company.
Qualifications:
Possession of a diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering from a post-secondary institution.
Familiarity with Aluminum Extrusion is advantageous.
2-5 years' experience required
