Job description
Title: Manual Machinist
Shift: Day Shift, 6am-2:30pm
Pay: $25.00+/hr
Who we are:
Our client is a leading global supplier of induction heating and melting equipment located near Brookfield, WI.
Manual Machinist Role:
Set-up, adjust and operate a variety of machine tools (including manual lathes, milling machines, boring machines and grinders) to perform progressive machining operations on a diversified line of close tolerance work (metallic and non-metallic work pieces) requiring a high degree of skill and machining techniques.
Manual Machinist Responsibilities:
Read blueprints or job order for product specifications such as dimensions and tolerances, and tooling instructions such as fixtures, feed rates, cutting speeds, depth of cut, etc.
Determine sequence of operations. Identify conformity of material requirements.
Use a variety of precision measuring devices to set up and adjust work and verify conformance of work to specifications.
Grind and adapt tooling and attachments for special work requirements.
Diagnose and rectify tooling problems and machine malfunctions.
Perform routine maintenance on machines and tooling.
Able to hold tolerances as close as .0005”.
Accurately account for materials per the Bill of Material and ensure that those materials are issued properly to the job.
Must read and interpret blueprints.
Move materials with hand trucks, forklift trucks and cranes as required.
Maintain a clean and safe working area.
Must observe all safety regulations. May be required to perform various other functions or duties as directed by supervisor.
About You:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
1 or more years of verifiable experience in using a Manual Machining
