Job description
Skills and Experience:
- Strong technical background in mechanical (piping, ventilation, etc.) engineering, codes, design, detail, and specification writing.
- Thorough understanding of, and ability to calculate dynamic loads associated with fluid dynamics.
- Ability to design mechanical piping and ventilation systems considering dynamic loads.
- Project engineering.
- Project management.
- Collaborative spirit / effective project team member.
Position Duties:
- Work in collaboration with engineering and construction professional services personnel to ensure that project goals are met.
- Travel to project sites to attend meetings, field check existing conditions, review new installations, and oversee new installations.
- Analyze / evaluate existing piping and ventilation systems including but not limited to: Coolant piping, chilled water piping, weld water piping, potable, non-potable, reverse osmosis, and deionized water piping, motor oil piping, transmission fluid piping, central wash fluid piping, industrial, process, and sanitary waste piping, compressed air piping, nitrogen pipiing, mist collection, dust collection, process exhaust, etc.
- Engineer, design, and detail piping and ventilation systems including but not limited to: Coolant piping, chilled water piping, weld water piping, potable, non-potable, reverse osmosis, and deionized water piping, motor oil piping, transmission fluid piping, central wash fluid piping, industrial, process, and sanitary waste piping, compressed air piping, nitrogen piping, mist collection, dust collection, process exhaust, etc.
- Engineer, design, and detail piping and ventilation systems.
- Engineer, design, and detail concrete slabs, equipment foundations, pits, trenches, curbs, block structures, wall openings, etc.
- Oversee mechanical engineering, design, and detail.
- Review contractor submittals for compliance with contract documents.
- Mentor / teach others.
- Support miscellaneous other projects when required.
- Provide project management when required.
Computer Skills:
- AutoCAD 2D (3D preferred)
- Revit (preferred)
- Microsoft Office - Excel Word PowerPoint
- Microsoft Teams
- Microsoft Outlook
- Navisworks (preferred)
Education:
- Bachelor's degree - Mechanical Engineering

- Ability to travel
