Job description
An established manufacturing company is seeking a Human Resources Director to support HR function and initiatives for 2 locations in the Cleveland area. Responsibilities include partnering with company leadership to develop and implement HR Strategies that promote employee satisfaction and a high-performance culture.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Effectively resolve various employee relations matters, conduct investigations, and enforce disciplinary actions.
- Implement and manage HR policy in compliance with union and non-union regulation and standards
- Partner with senior leadership and line-management to implement initiatives that support companies’ long term objectives
- Develop recruitment strategies that attract and retain best-in-class talent
- Collaborate with the Legal Dept. to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
- Actively participate in the collective bargaining and grievance processes.
- Knowledge of labor and employment laws.
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of experience in human resources
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
· Union and non-unio experience with knowledge of collective bargaining and grievance processes
- Thorough knowledge of state and federal laws pertaining to Human Resources
- Must have strong analytical and critical thinking, problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to work with team-members at all levels of an organization
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field
