Associate Clinician

Mental Health Counselor Ass ociate or Marriage and Family Therapist Associate

- Starting salary $55,000 to $65,000 Commensurate with credentials and experience -

With a competitive starting salary, an excellent benefits package, paid holidays and a cohesive "family-like" work environment, an Associate Clinician at Ocean State Behavioral will use their skills to serve as a primary therapist and contact for in-home clients, while working under the supervision of the clinical director. Our clinicians develop treatment plans and methodologies while overseeing such programs and therapeutic services provided by assigned Personal Assistance Services and Supports (PASS) and Home Based Therapeutic Services (HBTS) providers.

This is a full-time position where you will be responsible for adhering to professional and legal requirements and demonstrating sound judgement while providing at least the minimum standard of care according to program standards and principles of "good practice."

Requirements:

• Master's Degree in Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, or relevant field
• Active license as a Mental Health Counselor Associate or Marriage and Family Therapy Associate
• Minimum of (1) year experience of working with children with special healthcare needs.
• Meets transportation requirements ( No history of DUI, a year free of vehicle accidents , valid vehicle insurance, valid vehicle registration, and valid state inspection sticker)
• DCYF CANTS clearance check.

Job Duties:

• Execute case openings (in conjunction with the case Treatment Coordinator) according to EOHHS program standards and guidelines in our HBTS and PASS programs.
• Provide ongoing in-home clinical support and treatment to clients and families with special needs according to program guidelines while coordinating care.
• Develop treatment and behavior plans with measurable and attainable goals for all assigned clients while ensuring that all treatment is evidence based and reflects the most recent research findings; including progress notes and reports, initial plans, and renewal plans.
• Prepare and submit all required documentation in a timely manner.
• Instruct, train, model, and support Direct Service Providers (DSP) in treatment methodologies outlined in the treatment plan as needed.
