Position: Production Associate (Finger Jointer)
Shift: 7:00am - 3:30pm M-F
Summary/Objective The Finger Jointer Operator is required to understand the operation, general maintenance, and safety features of the finger jointer. Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Inspects the veneer for specification conformance. Must be able to meet and maintain acceptable production levels. Must be able to read and interpret customer specifications. Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor. Completes the necessary production forms. Understands and can apply lockout-tagout safety procedure. Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations. Utilizes basic math functions (add, subtract, multiply, and divide) and measuring skills on a daily basis. Must be willing to accept and receive frequent supervision and assistance with regard to machine set-up. Must be familiar with the basic machine functions in order to perform the tasks stated above.
