About the Role & Team
Disney’s Direct to Consumer team oversees the Hulu and Disney+ streaming businesses within Disney Entertainment helping to bring The Walt Disney Company’s best-in-class storytelling to fans and families everywhere.
The DTC Strategy team supports DTC leadership in driving profitable growth and innovation by collaborating with stakeholders across the business to provide market intelligence, identify opportunities, and deliver actionable strategies and business plans. The team’s activities and accomplishments have contributed to the growth and success of the DTC business. Examples of work the group has led recently include:
Developing near- and long-term strategies to improve the financial performance of TWDC’s suite of direct-to-consumer services (e.g., account sharing, pricing strategy, product prioritization)
Assessing potential partnership opportunities for our direct-to-consumer services
Aligning with other TWDC stakeholders on content investment and windowing strategies
Creating materials to lay out the business’s strategy for the investor community (e.g., earnings prep, BOD updates, Investor Day).
What You Will Do
Serve as the day-to-day project team leader to execute workstreams a variety of strategic projects and initiatives
Work with business unit executives to support the strategic development process
Assess and analyze critical media and entertainment trends worldwide
Define and analyze critical new business development opportunities and growth strategies for the Segment and create business plans for new business ventures
Create and analyze long range plans
Manage and coach junior team members (analysts, senior analysts)
Create and audit financial models and analyses to support decision making and strategic initiatives - 25%
Closely manage projects from beginning to end: manage day-to-day communication and provide updates to leadership team, identify key issues and manage data gathering - 50%
Develop executive-level presentations to summarize strategic initiatives for leadership team - 25%
Required Qualifications & Skills
Experience and proven track record with a premier management consultancy, global investment bank, or corporate strategy role at a media or technology company
Enthusiasm for media, technology and branded consumer products & experiences
Strong analytical capabilities and financial modeling skills
Familiarity with working in or with large organizations
Experience leading project teams
Required Education
MBA from a top graduate business school (or equivalent experience)
Preferred Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of post-MBA work experience

The hiring range for this position in California is $148,700.00 - $199,400.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.Job tags
