Position Overview:
As a Delivery Driver at Cowboy Chicken, you will be a key member of our team, responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of our mouthwatering wood-fired rotisserie chicken and wholesome meals to our valued customers. Your friendly demeanor, commitment to safe driving, and excellent customer service skills will play a crucial role in providing an exceptional delivery experience that reflects the warm hospitality of Cowboy Chicken.
Key Responsibilities: - Delivery Services: Safely and efficiently deliver food orders to customers' homes, businesses, or designated locations while adhering to scheduled delivery times.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Ensure that the delivery vehicle is well-maintained, clean, and in good working condition. Perform routine checks and report any mechanical issues to management promptly.
- Order Verification: Double-check each delivery order against the provided invoice to ensure order accuracy before leaving the restaurant.
- Customer Interaction: Interact with customers in a courteous and professional manner while delivering their orders. Provide friendly and prompt service, answer any customer inquiries, and handle any delivery-related concerns with a customer-first approach.
- Cash Handling: Collect cash payments accurately, provide change, and ensure proper record-keeping of transactions.
- Food Safety and Hygiene: Maintain food safety standards during transportation to ensure that orders are delivered in optimal condition, meeting Cowboy Chicken's high-quality standards.
- Navigation and Route Planning: Utilize GPS and/or knowledge of local areas to plan efficient and safe delivery routes, ensuring timely deliveries and minimizing travel time.
- Adherence to Traffic Laws: Observe all traffic laws and safety regulations during deliveries, ensuring the safety of yourself, other road users, and the general public.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with the restaurant team to ensure smooth order processing, timely deliveries, and an overall seamless experience for our customers.
Qualifications and Skills: - A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required.
- A working vehicle with auto insurance.
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is an advantage, but we welcome candidates with a strong commitment to safe driving and customer service.
- Familiarity with local areas and good navigation skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills to interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Ability to work independently and manage delivery schedules efficiently.
- A positive and upbeat attitude, even during busy delivery periods.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
