Job Title: Telemetry Registered NurseĀ 
Location: Rapid City, SD
Duration: 3 Months

Job Summary:

As a Telemetry Registered Nurse, you will play a crucial role in the continuous monitoring and care of patients with cardiac conditions or those requiring constant observation. Using telemetry equipment, you will assess, interpret, and respond to vital signs, ensuring the timely identification of changes in a patient's condition. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, you will contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care and support a patient-centered approach.

Key Responsibilities:

Telemetry Monitoring:

Utilize telemetry equipment to monitor and analyze patients' vital signs, including heart rate, rhythm, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation.
Recognize and respond to any abnormal patterns or deviations from baseline.

Data Interpretation:

Analyze telemetry data to assess the overall health status of patients.
Collaborate with healthcare team members to interpret and communicate significant findings.

Communication:

Effectively communicate changes in patient status to physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare team members.
Collaborate with colleagues to coordinate and implement appropriate interventions.

Documentation:

Maintain accurate and detailed records of telemetry data, interventions, and patient responses.
Ensure documentation is complete, timely, and in accordance with organizational standards.

Patient Education:

Educate patients and their families on the purpose of telemetry monitoring, potential alarms, and what to expect during the monitoring period.
Provide information on lifestyle modifications and self-care strategies.

Emergency Response:

Respond promptly to critical changes in a patient's condition and initiate emergency protocols as needed.
Participate in code blue and rapid response teams when required.

Collaboration:

Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists, and ancillary staff.
Participate in interdisciplinary rounds to discuss patient care plans.

Technology Proficiency:

Stay current on advances in telemetry technology and ensure proficiency in using monitoring equipment.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to telemetry systems.
