Job description

Job Summary:

You will play a vital role in assisting sports teams and families with their travel arrangements within the youth sports sector. Representing a variety of hotel brands, you will uphold our company's service standards and operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

Serve as the primary point of contact for families seeking assistance with booking hotels, excursions, and other travel-related needs.
Liaise with hoteliers to secure additional inventory when required to accommodate teams.
Coordinate with tournament organizers to ensure compliance with accommodation requirements.
This is a remote/hybrid position based in the Aberdeen, MD area.
Key Duties:

Deliver exceptional customer service to guests throughout the planning process and during the tournament/event.
Address guest concerns promptly, ensuring their satisfaction while safeguarding Oakwood Lodging Group assets.
Forge strategic partnerships with hotels for family travel purposes.
Manage and oversee all travel arrangements and operations for multiple teams.
Reconcile events on a weekly basis for Corporate Office records.
Cultivate relationships with hotels and youth sports parks.
Handle credit card programs and associated charges.
Process Travel and Entertainment reports and manage reimbursements.
Ensure compliance with all travel procedures.
Drive continuous improvement of travel programs.
Collaborate with the sports park management team to enhance the guest experience for players, coaches, and families.
Support organizational sales initiatives during both the season and offseason, including making sales calls and liaising directly with coaches and organizations to fulfill hotel room booking obligations.
Experience and Skills:

Proficiency in delivering exceptional customer service while adhering to company standards.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, along with strong negotiation abilities.
Competence in staff communication and report preparation.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and reservation systems.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Capacity to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Flexibility to work long hours and weekends as required by business demands.
Capable of lifting items weighing up to 30 lbs. to fulfill job duties.
Qualifications:

Proven experience in roles such as Reservations Manager, Front Desk Manager, Director of Sales, or similar hospitality positions.
Familiarity with Travel and Entertainment Facilities.
Organized and dependable, with strong analytical and business acumen.
Preferred:

Minimum two years of managerial experience in customer service and/or hotel management.
Bachelor's degree.
Training in travel and tourism.
