As our in-house general counsel, you will supervise all of the organization's daily legal matters while collaborating closely with all departments. This position will advise the organization's Executive Team on the appropriate course of action on all legal matters while confidently and carefully balancing important elements. We are searching for someone who is excited to work with us in this brand-new capacity that will significantly impact our daily operations.- Provide legal counsel on all state and federal regulatory issues, ensuring that all company interests are properly represented.
- Develop and recommend company positions on legal issues to mitigate any potential legal risk.
- Identify and assess legal, business, and regulatory risks as well as offer steps to maintain compliance.
- Prepare and review all written legal contracts and documents.
- Provide legal analyses, interpretations, and guidance to maintain compliance with policies and laws.
- Represents and advocates for all of Riverside's interest to governmental agencies, counter parties, and third parties.
- Collaborates with outside counsel as needed
- Juris Doctor degree required
- 2-5 years experience practicing (in private practice or in-house counsel)
- Admitted to the Washington State Bar
- Strong business law experience with some employment law experience would be a plus
- Ability to navigate a wide variety of legal documents such as contracts, employment agreements, and government correspondence
Base Salary ($150,000 - $175,000 per year DOE) + bonus program
