Job description
New Italian Restaurant in Long Beach looking for experienced Pizzaiolo , come and join our team!
Job Details Responsibilities:
• Prepare and store pizza dough
• Prepare sauces, and various toppings, such as vegetable, cheeses and meats
• Make pizza according to restaurant's recipe
• Clean workstations before pizza preparation.
• Ensure that all utensils and cooking equipment are sterilized before each use.
• Prepare high-quality pizzas according to company recipes, portion controls and
presentation specification
• Manage all pizza orders and ensure guests’ orders are completed on time and in a
presentable manner
• Check quality of pizza before served to guest
• Monitor the temperature of the pizza oven as well as cooking times
• Plate or package pizzas accordingly
• Make pizza boxes
• Stock and maintain sufficient levels of food products at line stations to assure a smooth
service period
• Follow all relevant food health and safety guidelines, maintaining hygiene and safety
standards at all times
• Maintain a workstation that is both clean and sanitary
• Make sure that food items are appropriately thawed before using
• Manage inventory of food supplies and advise Executive Pizza Chef re: placing orders
for more supplies as needed
• Manage multiple food orders at once
• Properly receive and store items
• Ensure that all supplied items are of good quality and accurate quantity
• Ensure refrigeration and rotation of food items, storing food items properly and at the
right temperature
• Label food items appropriately
• Discard any expired or near expiry food items
• Clean and disinfect pizza oven and equipment after use
• Ensure preventative and general maintenance of pizza oven
• Dispose of expired or spoiled ingredients at the end of each shift.
• Open/close the pizza kitchen following the closing checklist for pizzeria stations
• Assist others in opening/closing the pizzeria
• Perform other duties as required or assigned
