The Director Medical-Surgical Nursing 4North/8South is responsible for the 24/7 management of the 4 North 23 bed Med-Surg Oncology Unit and the 8 South 38 bed Med-Surg Overflow Unit,

In this position, the Director:

Provides daily management and oversight of all aspects for the care of patients on assigned units

Collaborates with the Physicians to provide appropriate care, treatment and patient experience for patients in assigned units,

In collaboration with the medical providers, supports nursing staff in providing clinical care to patients in assigned units

Remains current of new trends and best practices and incorporates into clinical care and safety measures for patients in assigned units

Assesses, develops, and implements evidence-based and current standards for quality, safe, and cost-effective patient care,

Assures collaboration and effective/efficient operations with the interdisciplinary health care team

Continuously analyzes data and processes to ensure efficient operation and performance of the assigned units,

Monitors patient flow to ensure efficient productivity,

Develops unit and leadership goals and objectives in accordance with organizational goals, focusing on reducing Hospital Acquired Infections and Conditions, improving patient and family experience and decreasing readmissions and mortality,

Minimum requirement :

Minimum of 3 years of progressive nursing leadership in an acute care setting

BSN Required, MSN Preferred

Unencumbered NJ RN license
