ACTS is a fast-growing consultancy offering clients on-site veterinary consultation services, performance assessment, advising, and training services, and dynamic public speakers to the life science industry. We are seeking a passionate, curious, and strategic thinker to join our team and develop, re-imagine, and execute on a wide variety of business processes and internal operations. As the People Strategy & Operations Manager, you will work closely with the President and the Strategic Planning Committee to drive key business initiatives and change across the consultancy. You will not be client-facing, rather, you will own strategic operations internally and have a significant impact on the quality-of-service ACTS provides clients. Full Time Position Status: Full-time employee (guaranteed 32 hours per week) Location: Fully remote Office Set Up: Will be provided upon successful executions of tasks outlined for the first 90 days. What You’ll Do - Manage the consultant onboarding process to ensure a smooth transition into their roles
- Manage consultant skills inventories to ensure that capacity, placement, and forecasting support strategic goals
- Assign and manage resources, consultant schedules, and contract OKRs/KPIs to ensure excellence in service delivery to clients
- Keep the rhythm of the organization humming and remove any obstacles for consultants that may arise along the way
- Develop deep relationships and partner with our cross-functional and rapidly expanding ACTS team
- Identify opportunities and take initiative to streamline and improve existing processes
- Regularly communicate consultant/contract updates and statuses to President and Strategic Planning Committee
- Serve as a member of the ACTS Strategic Planning Committee

First 90 Days - Establish a consultant On-Boarding process
- Develop a strategy for keeping track of consultant skill sets.
- Create a scaffolding for placement of all existing clients (type of service provided, revenue generation, length of engagement etc.)
- Ability to leverage your skills in a variety of settings and in front of a variety of stakeholders
- Scrupulous attention to detail and data-driven approach
- A demonstrated talent for effective written, verbal, and virtual communication
- Ability to remain tactful, calm, and persuasive in difficult conversations
- Ability to travel occasionally
- Experience in project management highly desired

- Experience in life sciences, biomedical research, or biotechnology a plus
