Position Overview: BMW of Myrtle Beach is seeking a dynamic and customer-focused individual to join our team as a BMW Service Advisor. In this crucial role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking automotive maintenance and repair services for their BMW vehicles. Your exceptional communication skills, extensive knowledge of BMW vehicles and automotive repair, and dedication to delivering an outstanding customer experience will be instrumental in ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining our dealership's reputation for excellence.
Responsibilities:
* Customer Interaction:
- Greet customers warmly and professionally, understanding their service needs and concerns.
- Act as a liaison between customers and the technician and parts team, providing accurate and timely updates on vehicle status and estimated completion times.
- Address customer inquiries, explain service recommendations, and provide cost estimates in a clear and transparent manner.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring a positive dealership experience.
* Service Consultation:
- Ensure thorough video vehicle inspections to identify maintenance and repair needs.
- Collaborate with technicians to accurately diagnose issues and determine appropriate repair solutions.
- Present service recommendations to customers, highlighting safety concerns and emphasizing the benefits of timely maintenance.
* Service Coordination:
- Schedule customer pick up times and promote a consistent workflow to ensure efficient allocation of resources.
- Collaborate with the Parts team to order necessary parts and ensure their availability for scheduled service appointments.
- Coordinate loaner vehicles or alternate transportation arrangements for customers when necessary.
* Documentation and Administration:
- Accurately document customer concerns, vehicle conditions, and services performed in the dealership's systems.
- Prepare detailed service invoices and ensure billing accuracy.
- Assist with warranty claims and process paperwork for manufacturer recalls.
* Customer Education:
- Educate customers about BMW service features, maintenance schedules, and recommended services to promote proactive vehicle care.
- Provide guidance on proper maintenance routines and address any questions customers may have.
* Upselling and Sales Support:
- Identify opportunities to upsell additional services, accessories, and maintenance packages based on customer needs and vehicle condition.
- Collaborate with the sales team to provide information about new BMW models, special offers, and promotions.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education or technical training in automotive field preferred.
- Previous experience as a service advisor in an automotive dealership, particularly with BMW vehicles, is highly desirable but not necessary.
- Strong knowledge of BMW vehicles, technical specifications, and maintenance requirements.
- Exceptional Time management, interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in using computer systems and software for documentation, scheduling, and customer communication.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask effectively, and handle challenging customer situations with professionalism.
- Detail-oriented mindset and strong organizational skills to maintain accurate records and manage service appointments.
