Job description
Seeking a temporary surgery scheduler to cover a maternity LOA. Position schedules for 3-4 providers, approximately 25-30 cases a week. Will need to arrange surgeries with hospitals, arrange pre-ops, and obtain authorizations.
Compiles daily and weekly personnel assignment schedules. Studies schedules and staffing requests to ascertain personnel requirements. Examines worker availability and worker skill sets. Matches worker skill sets with staffing requests. This position is for surgery scheduling, however, will take medical receptionist experience. Will need to verify insurance, obtain authorizations, schedule surgeries, obtain pre-op results, schedule pre-op appointments and post op appointments, return patient calls, answer incoming calls and messages.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience: two years medical office experience. 1 year of scheduling experience.
