We are seeking an Application Reliability Engineering Manager to join our team! This position is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day direction and priorities of the Application Reliability Engineering (ARE) Team. Maintains seamless functionality and administration of the organization’s enterprise solutions. Responsible for process improvement and ensuring smooth and efficient operation of enterprise business applications.

Essential Functions and Tasks:
- Leads and manages the day-to-day operations of the ARE team.
- Oversees the implementation and maintenance of enterprise automation tools (e.g., SMA OpCon, Automic), document management solutions (e.g. Laserfiche, Nautilus), Core banking software (e.g. DNA, Symitar) Electronic agreement software (e.g. DocuSign, Adobe), among others.
- Implements a continuous improvement mindset within the team, regularly evaluating processes and procedures for efficiency and effectiveness.
- Guarantees the reliability, availability, and performance of all managed applications and develop strategies to minimize downtime and improve user experience.
- Leads the ARE team in responding to incidents and service outages promptly and efficiently.
- Ensures the team is maintaining comprehensive documentation of operational processes, configurations, and incident responses.
- Leads the planning and execution of new implementations and upgrades.
- Proactively identifies and addresses potential issues that could impact normal operations of managed systems.
- Ensures the ARE team is equipped with the necessary tools and resources to meet operational objectives.
- Collaborates with manager to align the ARE team’s activities with the organization’s strategic goals.
- Communicates effectively with stakeholders to provide updates to service requests, ongoing projects, and future initiatives.
- Ensures manager is continually informed of any factors influencing workflow or normal business operations.
- Ensures team’s adherence to the organizations policies and standard operating procedures.
- Provides mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities for team members.
- All other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Required:
- High school diploma (GED equivalent).
- A minimum of seven (7) years' experience in an applications product ownership role, showing a progression of responsibility and complexity in roles.
- A minimum of three (3) years' experience in a leadership or managerial role, with responsibility leading a team of individual contributors responsible for enterprise application product ownership.
Education and Experience Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
- Financial institution experience.
- ITIL v.4 Foundations certification.
Demonstrated Abilities:
- In-depth understanding of application reliability principles and best practices.
- Experience with incident management, root cause analysis, and post-incident reviews.
- Understanding of ITIL Service Management best practices and standards.
- Familiarity with Microsoft SQL service environment with knowledge of reporting and query tool practices.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to present ideas in a user-friendly language with a strong customer service orientation.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communications skills with strong technical documentation skills.
- Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment

This position is eligible for Full-Time Regular benefits. Employees and their eligible family members have access to a wide array of employee benefits, such as medical, dental, vision and life insurance coverage. Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance is paid at a 100% by company for the employee coverage. We also offer Health Care FSA (HCFSA) and Day Care FSA (DCFSA). Employees have access to disability and AD&D insurance. Employees are able to enroll in our 401k plan. Full-Time Regular employees accrue 8 hours of vacation and 8 hours of sick leave, on a monthly basis. Full-Time Regular hired employees also receive 11 paid holidays throughout the calendar year, 1 floating holiday, 16 hours of self-care time, and 16 hours of volunteer time.
All benefits except 401k start the first of the month after 30 days of employment. Employees become eligible to contribute to 401k on the first of the month following 60 days of employment.
