When you work at Chatham, we empower you — offering professional development opportunities to help you grow in your career, no matter if you've been here for five months or 15 years. Chatham has worked hard to create a distinct work environment that values people, teamwork, integrity, and client service. You will have immediate opportunities to partner with talented subject matter experts, work on complex projects, and contribute to the value Chatham delivers every day.
We are seeking a Derivatives Valuations Product Manager for CVA, who can collaborate with our Technology, Quant and Accounting teams, along with other stakeholders, to help build solutions and tools that help us accurately value, review and support CVA (Credit Valuation Adjustment) for Interest Rate, FX and Commodity derivatives. Providing accurate and timely derivative valuations at scale is foundational to our business. Derivative valuations at Chatham are supported by our proprietary software valuations platform, which is developed by our Technology teams in Kennett Square, Denver, and Krakow, Poland. Solutions include both internal CVA models and tooling to support operational teams.
In this role you will:
- Work closely with the Valuations Product Lead and CVA Technical Lead to plan and build solutions that improve our valuations capabilities for CVA
- Prepare and manage a Product Roadmap for features and capabilities to support CVAs within the derivative valuations platform
- Work with various stakeholders including both internal and external clients in order to inform areas of need and investment
- Communicate the Product Roadmap to executive stakeholders
- Produce key artifacts including business and functional requirement documents, user stories, user acceptance test plans and test cases
- Attend and support all key meetings, including daily stand-ups, backlog grooming, release planning, release demos, and retrospectives
- Participate in the release aspect of the product including release plans, managing features and user stories, dependencies in and across releases; and managing releases with phases and milestones
- Assist the product team in tracking deliverables and timelines for multiple projects
- Assist in the preparation of communications of project statuses and new software releases to business stakeholders
- Communicate with stakeholders across the firm to educate and inform on software release plans and provide accurate communications of goals and progress
Contributors to your success:
- Bachelor’s degree in a business / accounting, mathematics, or engineering field, or equivalent experience
- Experience with financial risk management, operational controls, and financial modeling analysis and reporting tools
- 3+ years of working with Derivative valuations including CVA/DVA
- A general understanding of the quantitative models used to create CVA DVA calculations for interest rate, FX and/or Commodity derivatives
- Strong ability to solve problems, make sound decisions, and resolve conflicts
- History of effective and open communication and collaboration, both verbal and written
- Availability to work in Chatham’s Kennett Square, Denver, or London offices and travel to other offices as needed. Alternate locations would require a more meaningful amount of travel and/or collaboration across time zones.
- Experience with all stages in a product development lifecycle, including Agile and Lean delivery frameworks
