Job description
Genesis10 is currently seeking a Accountant I for a one year contract lasting through June 3, 2024 working remotely with an insurance company in Milwaukee, WI.
Description: Accountant is to perform transactional accounting for field offices
Accountant will work in JD Edwards processing vouchers, entering journal entries, processing commissions and period closing reconciliations on a monthly basis
They will also be involved in payroll, 1099 processing, training of new contractors, maintaining relationships with offices assigned and office specific accounting projects
This role supports the NM Field Offices across the country.
Must be able to commit to the role for at least a year
Training typically takes 2+months
There may be possibilities on the team for employee transition.

What are the must haves for this role? - It is necessary to know how to do journal entries(credits/debits) and understand accounting principles and a Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance
- The candidate has to be technology savvy and know how to work with: Excel: Ability to maintain and manipulate a worksheet accurately
Outlook: Email and calendaring
- They should have formal accounting education
- This role will have frequent communication with the client's field offices
Professional communication and proper grammar is required
- The candidate has to be able to organize and prioritize their task while working in dynamic environment
What will be the work schedule? The work schedule is 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, or 8:00 am to 4:30 pm with a half of hour break for lunch in our cafeteria (for non-remote people)
The schedule can be flexible with appropriate cover and notice.
