Job description
Roles and Responsibilities
Facilitate order management and shipping/receiving - process order induction, input into internal systems. Connect to customer portals and systems, with an emphasis on government.
May support forecasting, billing, and collection activities.
Key contact for customer inquiries, customer complaint (issue) resolution process.
Work with operations to understand and communicate commits and status to customers.
May also engage in sales activities for assigned customers.
Ability to understand complex government orders, requirements, and processes.
Works with Materials team to facilitate receiving and shipping of customer’s orders
Collaborates with others to solve issues.
For customer facing roles, develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE.
Exchanges technical information asks questions and checks for understanding.
Works with operations to understand and communicate commits and status to customers
Receive/retrieve, review, and implement customer Purchase Orders, contracts, and/or delivery orders.
Reviews repair estimates and submits to customer.
Assists other business functions in the facilitation of communication with and concerning the customer.
Takes responsibility for customer orders from receiving to shipping.
Makes improvements to processes based on the voice of the customer.
Resolves issues using established procedures.
Consults supervisor or more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 7 years of experience in supply chain, order fulfillment and/or administration)
Minimum of 3 years of experience in supply chain, order fulfillment and/or administration
Desired Characteristics
Experience in working Direct Government contracts (especially aftermarket programs)
Knowledge of Government requirements and business compliance to those requirements
Experience working with Government property and portals
Oracle experience
Avionics supply chain experience
A general knowledge of Lean
Competency with Microsoft Office applications: Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Ability to learn computer-based activities quickly and accurately
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs
