Job description

We are currently seeking a Cable TV, Internet, and Phone Installer Technician to service areas from Grand Rapids to Kalamazoo and surrounding regions, with potential opportunities for travel to Kentucky, Ohio, and Indiana. This role involves performing new connections, reconnects, and service upgrades or downgrades, ensuring optimal operation within prescribed parameters. Responsibilities
- Perform new connections, reconnects, add outlets, install or remove converters, and perform service upgrades or downgrades.
- Use small hand tools, power tools, and test equipment to ensure service operates within prescribed parameters.
- Read signal levels using a field strength meter, solve installation problems, install connectors on different types of drop cable, and maintain proper clearances.
- Climb poles, ladders, or other structures using proper equipment, and lift and carry loads up to 75lbs.
- Work within confined spaces, such as crawl spaces.
- Identify and remedy sources of customer-perceived problems.
- Drive company vehicle between home, office, warehouse, and work sites in a safe and courteous manner.
- Maintain and stock vehicle and equipment to be prepared to perform required duties.
- Complete paperwork accurately, and report and record work order status updates.
Qualifications
- Ability to pass a background and drug screening.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to lift up to 100 pounds.
- Ability to carry a 28ft ladder from truck to pole.
- Ability to work in tight spaces such as a crawl space of a house or attics.
- Ability to climb over 28 feet.
