The Production Planner II for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for managing sub-assembly inventory and scheduling lot-based production.
This position is part of the Reagents Manufacturing Operations Team located in Hialeah facility and will be on-site. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.
You will be a part of the Materials Department and report to the Materials Manager responsible for developing production schedules and managing sub-assembly inventory in order to ensure material availability for our Customers. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Be responsible for weekly production schedule development based on FG request/capacity and management – Creation and maintenance (verification, submittal to production floor, re-prints, and closure once status of work order is completed) of production work orders and schedules.
Identification and troubleshooting of material inventory issues, shortages, or excess by gathering and using data to problem-solving and implement countermeasures.
Work cross functionally with internal departments to ensure materials continuity, drive improvement, and lead other initiatives.
Drive Inventory/MUV Savings by using Danaher Material System Tools and Best practices.
The essential requirements of the job include:
Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Operations Management, Supply Chain, or Engineering, with 2+ years’ experience in a planning function
Solid understanding of supply chain management principles, including demand & supply forecasting, inventory management, and lot restrictions.
Experience in communicating needs to internal customers related to quality, capacity, total cost, delivery, and compliance.
Proficiency using Excel and ERP systems (Oracle is a plus)
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Demonstrated knowledge of how to effectively operate in a regulated environment (FDA, GMED, NCIS etc.) and any knowledge of chemicals and lab environments
APICS (ASCM) certification or actively pursuing one
Knowledge of lean six sigma and of planning “best practices” including, but not limited to Supplier PULL Systems, Vendor Manage Inventory, Lean Daily Management, and lean improvement events.
