ACCESS Specialty Animal Hospital in San Fernando Valley is looking for an experienced Doctor's Assistant to join our team!

shift differentials ..
Shift hours worked between: 7pm-11pm = additional
$2/hour 11pm-7am = additional
$3/hour any shift on Saturdays and Sundays = additional
$2/hour Our ideal candidates: - Have a desire to help people and their pets
- Minimum two-year veterinary experience in a customer service role
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently in a clear and audible voice
- A friendly and professional demeanor
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills

- Must be able to work 1 weekend day per week
- Experience with ezyvet a plus
Our Doctor's Assistants work closely with our medical teams by guiding clients through their visit with ACCESS (from history taking to discharging) helping to establish the foundation for a trusting and empathetic visit.
Your responsibilities may include: - Work closely with Board Certified Specialists and Emergency DVMs
- Serve the critical role of being the liaison between doctors, clients, and patients
- Organize/ track patient diagnostics
- Coordinate hospitalized patient treatment
- Prepare patient discharge reports/ in-hospital updates
- Communicate with clients, referring DVMs; and pharmacies as needed regarding appointments, medical concerns, patient updates, referrals, and prescriptions
