INDUSTRIAL SERVICE TECHNICIAN TRAINEE – New Castle, DE

Position Summary:
We are looking for a newer/trainee level applicant with technical aptitude who is a quick learner. You will train alongside our experienced Service Technician/Engineers on the Industrial Automation product and services team. In this role, you will be expected to complete course work and job sheets that prepare you to perform a variety of field services, including modernizations, start-up and commissioning, troubleshooting and maintenance of industrial control systems.
Position Responsibilities:
+ Plan and perform programming, troubleshooting, testing, and commissioning of control systems.
+ Provide support for HMI , PLC , Drives, and SCADA products and applications. This requires a working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, a familiarity with PLC programming languages, and common industrial communication protocols.
+ Complete certification by manufacturer (Schneider Electric) to start-up VFDs.
+ Contribute to service proposals for scope and cost of work, including timelines and terms and conditions.
+ Work with the sales team on communicating service offerings and capabilities to their customers.
+ Ability to collaborate effectively with vendors, customers, and other United Electric products/services departments.
+ Translate customer requirements/expectations into a functional system or solution.
+ Adhere to all United Electric health, safety, and environmental policies.
+ Act in a safe and positive manner always, ensure that those around you do not put themselves or others at risk.
+ Maintain proper records of services and projects in accordance with United Electric’s best practices.
