Screening of applications begins immediately and continues until the position is filled.

Position Summary  the Scribe works directly with the provider to facilitate patient flow and ensure an accurate and complete medical record for each patient.

• Accompanies provider into the patient examination room in order to transcribe a history and exam, and document accurately the provider’s encounter with the patient and others present.
• Lists all proper diagnoses and symptoms as well as follow up instructions and prescriptions as dictated by the physician.
• Transcribes patient orders including laboratory tests and medications.
• Documents any procedures performed by the provider.
• Other duties as required.

Education: High School Graduate or equivilant, or medical assistant certification preferred.

Experience: Experience in a hospital environment desirable.

Knowledge: Prefer knowledge of medical terminology, upper level typing/computer skills and highly proficient in written and verbal English.
