The Sales and Marketing Coordinator will collaborate with the Marketing Manager to help coordinate, plan, and execute the day-to-day activities that lead to the successful completion of deliverable projects for California and Hawaii. This individual will also work with the Portfolio Managers to provide creative content for the website and manage the creation of marketing materials for the company. Additionally, you will be expected to work closely and collaboratively with the Sales Team to support them with marketing collateral for events and offerings.
Responsibilities:
• Website maintenance: Perform daily website updates for changes of vintages, new products info & images, new reviews from trade publications, sales & promotional materials, producer bios & images, new press articles, and staff changes on the company directory page.
• Digital content: Assist Marketing Manager with developing digital content, including but not limited to marketing materials from industry trade publications, posting supplier press releases and developing content for industry newsletters.
• Sales & Promotional materials: Generate & update high quality sales/promotional materials such as sell sheets and point of sale material (shelf talkers, case cards) for distribution to sales staff. Assist when needed with printing, laminating, and distribution.
• Price Book: Maintain product listing & pricing on the digital Price Book, and work with Portfolio Managers to ensure product offerings are current and accurate. Work with the Marketing Manager to get the file ready for printing on a quarterly basis.
• Industry Newsletters: Coordinate with Sales Directors, Portfolio Managers, and the Marketing Manager to create and execute a Monthly Newsletter for California, as well as a Quarterly Newsletter for Hawaii. Design, write copy, create imaging and content, and update distribution lists.
• Social Media: Regularly check-in on social media accounts to respond and repost tagged content. Collaborate with Marketing Manager to create weekly posts on Instagram / Facebook.
• Meetings and Events: Work with the Office Manager, Portfolio Managers, Sales Directors, Warehouse Manager, and Marketing Manager to coordinate the setup of General Sales Meetings, local events, and special promotional events. This includes developing sell sheets, invitations, signage, and other POS documents. This may include traveling to events, bringing collateral and point of sale items, helping with setting up & breaking down events when necessary.
• Imagery: Take pictures and edit product images for the website, newsletter, and POS reference document.
• Business Cards: Generate standardized business cards via the Illustrator template for staff changes. Work with the local printer to print and collaborate with office manager to distribute.
• Daily Sales Correspondence: Compile & post daily announcements for Sales Teams, including recent reviews & press articles.
• Point of Sale Inventory Management: Working with Portfolio Managers, Suppliers, and Buying Team to bring-in new point of sale items. Create & manage POS inventory in system and organize storage. Work with Customer Service & Warehouse as needed to facilitate distribution to sales teams.
Requirements/Qualifications:
• A minimum of 1-year experience in the wine industry.
• Demonstrated knowledge of marketing digital tools and techniques.
• Solid computer skills including MS Office Suite with an emphasis on Excel and SharePoint.
• Experience with social media/online marketing platforms.
• Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud programs, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Attention to detail with ability to meet critical deadlines.
• Strong analytical skills with a goal-oriented attitude.
• Ability to think creatively while understanding different target markets.
• Knowledge of wine industry and terminology (WSET wine certification / qualification / courses or schooling a plus).
• Ability to lift and move 40 lbs.
