Job Summary
This position provides day-to-day administrative coordination for academic affairs operations including curriculum and catalog processes that support the Academic Affairs and Standards Council (AASC). This position leads course scheduling facilitated by academic affairs leadership and collaborates with the Event Management System (EMS) scheduler, registrar, faculty and advisors. This position ensures efficient and effective management of academic affairs including data reporting and analysis, academic policies and procedures, accreditation, and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Manage the implementation of all AASC curricular approvals to update the Integrated Student Registration System (ISRS) curriculum records and academic documents, system office Program Navigator applicaiton, maintain academic publications and articulation agreements.
- Lead the production of the annual academic course schedule in collaboration with Academic Affairs administrative staff to ensure registration and publication timelines are met. Manage, configure, and support Academic Affairs data, reporting, and analysis needs for campus stakeholders.
- Other Duties as Assigned: Coordinate and perform other assignments as deemed necessary by circumstances that advance the work of the College.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate degree in computer science, business, or a related field AND at least two (2) years of experience analyzing data and creating reports OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience utilizing multiple types of technology and software.
- Excellent organizational skills to sufficiently manage multiple priorities and effectively carry out complex oral and written instructions with minimum supervision.
- Experience and skill in data retrieval and data integrity.
- Knowledge and understanding of curriculum, programs of study, and academic course scheduling is essential.
- Excellent interpersonal communications and customer service skills sufficient to serve customer and colleagues with diverse experiences and backgrounds to provide accurate information in a timely professional manner through multiple modalities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business or a related field.
- Experience and proven ability to analyze information and identify trends to creatively determine solutions and make recommendations that will meet the needs of changing educational programs/course schedules.
- Experience and technical expertise in Microsoft Excel
- Experience and technical expertise in Microsoft Access
- Understanding of project management principles and techniques
- Extensive knowledge of ISRS (Integrated Student Record System) to sufficiently manage and implement all curriculum and term course data for academic schedules and catalog production.
- Adept problem solving skills to sufficiently resolve student registration edit and prerequisite enrollment issues.
- Broad understanding of, and ability to interpret, communicate, and administer, applicable board policies, college regulations and work rules, labor agreements, functions and organization of RCTC, AASC and MinnState is required to sufficiently carry out the responsibilities of the position for the Academic Affairs unit.
- Foster effective working relationships with all other instructional administrators, program/division coordinators, faculty and staff sufficient to accomplish work objectives.

In accordance with the Minnesota State Vehicle Fleet Safety Program, employees driving on college/university business who use a rental or state vehicle shall be required to conform to Minnesota State's vehicle use criteria and consent to a Motor Vehicle Records check.
