Description
Our client has an immediate opportunity for an Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) Cyber Security Analyst. Our client supports HQ ACC Flight Operations Division (A3T) with combat readiness and training of the Combat Air Forces. Support includes technical and subject matter expertise to develop and oversee policy for ACC flight operations, aircrew flying training, mission operations, and formal training programs. Relocation assistance available to well qualified candidates.
- This position will write and update the ACC EFB CONOPS and/or ACCIs and integrate guidance with EFB lead MAJCOM (AMC) and HAF.
- Assist with EFB programming within the POM cycle and advocate for program funds. Help develop a unified CAF acquisition strategy with A5/8/9 and MDS specific flight test requirements with SPOs, Program Managers (PMs), FAMs, and 53 WG/AATC (Air National Guard Air Force Test Center).
- Recommend EFB/software training program standards.
- Ensure EFB software, hardware, and firmware complies with appropriate security configuration guidelines.
- Implement all AF Cybersecurity policies, procedures, and countermeasures, and process and manage applicable resources within the EFB program.
- Ensure proper configuration management procedures are followed, and approval received, prior to EFB implementation. Coordinate changes or modifications with the system- level ISSM, security control assessor (SCA), and/or cybersecurity officials.
- Initiate protective or corrective measures, in coordination with Cybersecurity managers, when a security incident or vulnerability is discovered.
- Report security incidents or vulnerabilities to the system-level ISSM and Cybersecurity officials according to AFI 17-130.
- Recommend SAP/SCI/CPA (Classified Processing Area) security measures for vaults/simulators/cockpits/mission crew decks.
- Initiate requests for exceptions, deviations, or waivers to Cybersecurity requirements.
- Coordinate for EFB IT support, sustainment and modernization plans, and mobile device management/upgrades/tech refresh.
- Assist in ensuring appropriate standardization of Technical Order (T.O.) and Flight Information Plan (FLIP) integration and ensure currency compliance.
- Assist USAFWS/WEPTAC to develop future EFB capability requirements.
- Recommend SAP/SCI security measures for vaults/cockpits/mission crew decks.
- Interface with vendors to achieve optimal service and equipment.
- Provide full spectrum of project management on short-term projects to include research, selection recommendations, scheduling, implementation inventory tracking, and sustainment.
- Provide strategies for the ACC enterprise to include network management, scaling the infrastructure to provide robust bandwidth, and evaluating future technology products to support the enterprise.
- Serve as project manager for project implementation, server installation, configuration, and administrator training.
- Conduct studies and analyses of WAN-related issues.
- Provide guidance and assistance related to WAN installation, integration, maintenance, and migration.
- Liaise with Judge Advocate on copyright/legal issues and Public Affairs for messaging related to commercial purchase.
Requirements
- TS/SCI clearance required
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related technical field
- IAT Level II certification IAW DoD 8570
- 3 years of experience utilizing mobile devices with a focus on iOS and working mobile IT topologies, to include a keen understanding of wireless routers/modems, commercial ISP and cellular services, and how to establish those services
- 3 years of systems administration or ISSO experience with hands on knowledge of setting file share and SharePoint permissions, establishing group security policies, and resolving a multitude of IT issues either by hands-on troubleshooting or through the CIPS/Remedy/IAO Express trouble ticketing processes
- 3 years of experience with commercial mobile technology and enterprise mobile management services (i.e. mobile device management, mobile content management, and mobile application management); knowledge of MobileIron, Unified Endpoint Manager, Blackberry Docs, and Acronis is beneficial
- 3 years of experience using CIPS, AFWAY, and other systems to acquire IT hardware, software and services through the base or MAJCOM contracting office IAW local, AF and DoD guidance
- 3 years of experience in developing IA accreditation packages for networked and stand-alone systems requiring authorization official approval
