Position Overview:
The salary range for this position is $102,100 - $181,487. This position includes membership in the Health Sciences Compensation Plan .

The Department of Pediatrics, Division of Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics at the University of California, Davis School of Medicine is recruiting a full-time in-residence professor within the field of biomedical and health informatics at the Assistant/Associate/Full Professor rank (commensurate with credentials).

The individual selected for the position will be expected to maintain a successful, independent research program and demonstrate excellence in teaching and university service. The successful candidate will have expertise in biomedical and health informatics, pediatric tele-technologies, human computer interaction and usability, technology-mediated social emotional development, and telehealth. Specific duties will include conducting tech-mediated translational, quality of life, behavioral, and/or clinical research funded by extramural sources, including submitting grant or contract proposals for such research. Candidates should demonstrate excellence in research, including an established portfolio or promise of externally funded research.

We are particularly interested in candidates who possess the research skills and experience required to successfully become leaders in multi-disciplinary research teams within the institution and in national and international research networks.

The successful candidate will develop independent, extramurally-funded research programs, collaborate with colleagues across campus, and train and mentor graduate students. Research in design, social and assistive robotics, health and human development, evaluation, methods, and theory surrounding digital health and digital health interventions will be considered.

Modes of teaching include informal lectures, formal seminars, supervision in research settings, mentoring of graduate students, and in-service training. We value a human-centered approach to biomedical and health informatics and welcome scholars with research and teaching strengths in pediatric social emotional development, education, translational science, health equity, holistic evaluation and methods, qualitative research, and interdisciplinary and mixed methods research.
