The Daniel & Janet Mordecai Journalism Internship is a summer internship opportunity for a current or recently graduated student to work with the Rocky Mountain PBS journalism team on daily responsive content and long form projects. This internship is for those who want to learn the skills and decisions behind story selection, execution and use Diversity Equity and Inclusion principles in that decision making.

This internship position will start with a small cohort of fellow interns on June 3, 2024. Selected candidates may expect to work anywhere from 10-12 weeks, depending on their class schedule. This internship opportunity offers 15-20 hours of work per week, including some nights and weekends (depending on event dates; some travel required).

Work Environment

This position works in office, studio, editing, and/or field environments. This position primarily is Monday through Friday but must be able to work a flexible schedule with occasional evenings and weekends. Must be able to travel throughout the state and beyond, on occasion. The position requires the ability to lift and carry production equipment up to 50 lbs.
