JDA TSG has an immediate opportunity for an IT Manager in the Greater New York City area. Position reports to the SVP Business Intelligence and will have at least 1 direct report.
Location : Remote (Greater New York City) ** on-site approx. 3-4 days monthly in our Manhattan Offices
Position Type : Full Time, Salaried, Exempt
Salary Range : $115,000 and $145,000 based on experience.
The Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced IT Manager to lead technology initiatives while also contributing hands-on expertise. In this hybrid role, you ll manage direct reports and actively participate in technical projects. If you thrive in both leadership and technical execution, this position offers a unique blend of responsibilities, Technical Leadership, Team Management, Project Management and Stakeholder Communications.
Primary Accountabilities:
- Facilitates and oversees the technical support, ensuring effective and helpful support is provided to end users.
- Oversees and facilitates the installation, integration, and maintenance of IT systems, hardware, and software.
- Analyzes software and hardware needs for the organization.
- Ensures IT-related projects and tasks are completed within specifications, on time, and within budget.
- Identifies and recommends upgrades and changes to hardware and software, maintaining efficient and effective operations in the organization.
- Maintains knowledge of trends and developments in information technology, alerting senior staff of the effects widespread software and hardware revisions, changes, and discontinuation will have on the organization s systems and operations.
- Coordinates and schedules large-scale software and hardware installations and integrations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
As a manager/contributor, you will:
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of support specialists, this is a HANDS-ON position requiring deep technical acumen and experience managing direct reports
- Roll up your sleeves and actively contribute to technical projects. Whether it s troubleshooting network issues, optimizing server configurations, or coding scripts, you ll be hands-on.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.
- Evaluate and recommend software, hardware, and infrastructure solutions.
- Define and implement best practices, standards, and procedures for support solutions
- Manage and prioritize support requests, issues, and escalations
- Design and develop new support solutions, tools, and workflows
- Analyze and report on support performance, metrics, and feedback
- Collaborate with other teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment and integration of support solutions
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical and non-technical issues as needed
Experience:
- 5+ years working in IT management
- Managing direct reports while being a contributor in a support or customer service environment
- A troubleshooting mindset
- Curiosity to explore and learn new technologies and examples of recent technical exploring.
- Thorough understanding of technology, software, and hardware.
- Proficient with / able to quickly learn the software and applications used in the organization and the industry. Cloud based technologies including:
- Office 365 (administration/setup)
- Virtual Desktops (familiarity to technology capabilities)
- CRM Solutions (management customization of)
- Automation creation experience (Ex Power Automate and or PowerShell)
- Query language experience (Excel formulas, logic conditions)
- Project management, process improvement, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of support tools, systems, and platforms
- Bachelor s degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience
- Managing multiple priorities for different stakeholders/groups in a rapidly shifting environment
- Responding to and resolving issues, escalations, service requests etc, under strict SLA s
Education:
- Bachelor s degree in computer science or related field or comparable professional experience
