Accounting Manager
San Rafael
$90,000 to $100,000 annually
We are partnering with a well-established non-profit organization who seeks an Accounting Manager to oversee the day-to-day workflow of the accounting department This role is responsible for the management of grant invoicing related to allocations, recording grant payments, donations, cash receipts, payroll oversight, accounts receivable, accounts payable and month-end procedures. This is a full-time position with a robust benefits package and the ability to transition into a hybrid schedule after 6 months.
Main Functions Include:
- Review accounts payable to ensure accuracy of allocations.
- Resolve reconciliation issues related to posting adjusted journal entries.
- Review all grant expenditures, allocations, and reporting.
- Manage reconciliation of employee deductions for discrepancies
- Manage payroll allocation process.
- Prepare, distribute, collect, and process timesheets for grant programs.
- Lead month-end process
- Assist with the preparation of the annual organization budget and grant/contract budgets.
- Track and report on grant budgets
- Coordinate grant reporting
- Serve as on-site resource for financial audits.
- Prepare audit information as needed.
- Maintain and organize accounting files and records.
Ideal qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field preferred
- Minimum 3-5 years in similar role or equivalent experience preferred.
- Non-Profit experience a plus specifically grant invoicing experience preferred.
- Knowledge of Sage Intact, Paylocity, and Excel preferred.
