Salary Range: $80,000 - $85,000

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
• Ability to interpret and analyze financial statements and reports
• Must understand real estate accounting
• Expert with Quickbooks Online
• Must be hands-on

About the Role

The Accountant will manage the entirety of accounting operations for the business, including maintaining the books, bank reconciliations, tax prep, preparing financial reports, and conducting audits as needed. This candidate must have a strong accounting background, the ability to retain information, and a complete understanding of business and investment bookkeeping.

Responsibilities

• Real estate accounting, including leases, capital gains, and ROI calculation
• Prepare tax packages for CPA firm
• Run payroll for 6+ people on QuickBooks, including processing payroll tax liabilities
• Maintain books using QuickBooks Online
• Prepare financial statements
• Prepare 1099s
• Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements
• Accounts payable
• Record investment deposits
• Track partnerships, investments, and distributions
• Record CPA tax journal entries
• Prepare quarterly Statements of Assets
• Maintain monthly loan statements, credit lines, and interest payments
• Prepare and record tenant deposits

Candidate Requirements

• Must be hands-on and willing to wear many hats
• Strong understanding of investment bookkeeping
