Geosyntec has an exciting opportunity for an Environmental Engineer or Scientist to support site assessment, remediation, and due diligence practices in our Boca Raton, Florida office. Our ideal candidate would have at least 5 years of experience on these types of projects, particularly working with private clients (such as attorneys and developers). The position will dig into the details of environmental due diligence and environmental regulatory compliance, working closely with attorneys, while further developing the business skills needed for a successful consulting career.

• Supporting projects involving site assessment and remediation in accordance with Chapter 62-780, FAC and Miami-Dade County Chapter 24
• Supporting projects involving due diligence with substantial historic research including ASTM-compliant Phase I Environmental Site Assessments;
• Developing compliance documents and permit applications associated with the Clean Air Act (CAA), Clean Water Act (CWA), and Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA); and
• Providing litigation support services, including related to hazardous waste and material management.
• Based on your current level of experience, you may be asked to take on task-level or project management responsibilities, along with business development, and staff mentoring tasks.

• Bachelor's degree in environmental science, earth science (geology or hydrology), environmental, civil, or chemical engineering. (required) 
• Advanced degree in geology or environmental engineering. (preferred) 
• Professional registration (i.e., P.E, P.G.) (preferred)

• At least 5 years of experience in an environmental consulting environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience. (required) 
• An outstanding track record for client management and technical leadership. (preferred)
• Project experience involving environmental regulatory compliance, historical research, and environmental assessment. (preferred)
• Experience working on demanding, sophisticated, and legally sensitive projects. (preferred)
• Detailed Federal and California regulatory knowledge, especially RCRA and EPCRA. (preferred)
• Excellent writing and communication skills. (required)
• Regular fieldwork and overnight travel. (required).
• Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing may be required.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)
