Kelly Services is seeking an experienced Accounting Specialist in Bolingbrook , IL.


This is a contract opportunity, lasting approximately up to 6 months.

Hours: Mon-Fri, 8am-430pm
Pay: $25-27/hr., depending on experience

Summary:
The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for the full AP cycle including financial, administrative, and clerical support of the company. The AP Specialist completes payments and controls expenses by issuing payments, plus processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manages day-to-day management of all payment cycle activities in a timely and efficient manner.
• Processes accounts and outcoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
• Processes all accounts payable transactions to ensure that vendor accounts are up to date and accurate.
• Communicate with vendors to maintain positive relationships and trust.
• Performs day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data.
• Distributes internal reimbursement payments, control and administer petty cash, and control the distribution of sales tax exemptions certificates.
• Assists in month-end financial statement close.
• Assists Controller and other managers with special projects, as necessary.
• Process payroll as primary or backup as needed.
• Performs any other associated job-related duties as assigned by management.

Experience required:

• 2-3 years AP experience
• Proficient Microsoft Outlook skills
• Extensive Excel experience
• ERP experience
• Critical Thinking
• Team Player
• Experience working with in manufacturing/ the need to understand manufacturing
• Payroll experience is a plus
• Degree is a plus, but experience will be heavily weighted
• General Ledger Accounting
• Expense software
• Working with Auditors
• Visual ERP experience
