Minimum of 10 years of progressive IT experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
Must possess strong leadership and management skills that facilitate collaboration in a team environment
Extensive knowledge and experience in building cohesive IT teams required
Working knowledge of managing information technology teams, business continuity, incident response, and budget development is required
Superior interpersonal and communication skills to influence others to understand and support strategies
Must demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills as well as strong organizational and analytical skills
General understanding of enterprise technology including cloud computing, as-a-service models and emerging technologies
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or related field. Master's degree or relevant certifications preferred
Supervise and mentor the IT leadership team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement
Develop and implement an annual IT plan according to business requirements, industry standards, and best practices
Assist with managing the IT budget and resources, ensuring cost-effectiveness and optimal utilization of IT assets and staff
Coordinate with business units and develop strategies to implement various IT solutions effectively
Establish and maintain effective communication and relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, board of directors, auditors, regulators, and vendors
Facilitate preparation of project plans and proposals, outlining project objectives, technical requirements, and staffing requirements for proposed systems
Evaluate and recommend new technologies, vendors, and service providers that can enhance the IT capabilities and competitiveness
Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures related to IT, data privacy, and cyber-security
Ensure the integrity and reliability of information systems and communication systems including the security of data acquired and stored
Monitor and report on the performance, availability, and security of the credit union's IT systems and services, ensuring timely resolution of any issues or incidents
Stay abreast of the latest trends, developments, and best practices in the IT field
