Job Description:

The College of Veterinary Medicine seeks candidates for a Recovery Technician, responsible for staffing, maintaining, and overseeing animal care in the small animal post anesthesia care unit ( PACU ) in the Bailey Small Animal Teaching Hospital. Duties and tasks include following protocols for monitoring and caring for animals recovering from anesthesia, administering medications, instructing veterinary students, and stocking and cleaning the PACU with oversight from a veterinary anesthesiologist.

Additional duties may include independently performing anesthesia and perioperative and post-operative pain management for veterinary species.

The typical shift for this position is Mon – Fri from 9:00am – 7:00pm.
